Wii feed reader by google

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

So I just got into using a feed reader to read RSS feeds of all my favorite websites. I did this because Google recently released a wii version of their feed reader. No, I’m not actually going to use it with my wii, but the news story encouraged me to explore the idea of a feed readers to make browsing the interwebs easier. Google has a pretty nice interface without having to download any program.

I added a whole bunch of feeds, ars technica, evil avatar, jay is games, penny arcade, and more. I even added a facebook feed (you can click see all friend updates, then subscription, to add that.) Pretty awesome.

Python Related

I know pretty much I am writing this blog for my own self, so I’ve added a new tag to my wordpress, technobabble, for when I go off on a deep end and talk about coming software technologies that interest me.
Microsoft recently displayed a demo of their system,   Silverlight which is posed as a direct competitor to flash.   This would be excellent, however I hope that development for linux Silverlight will occur.   It seems interesting, its solutions can be written in Python.   They’re also developing a dynamic language runtime system for Python to run on top of, which seems similar to but not exactly like parrot

What does this all mean?   Flash could soon have a good competitor.   One using my favorite language.   Awesome.
